Fred has over 20 years of experience leading the development of international and local strategies and programmes for businesses and governments throughout Europe. Fred spent the majority of his career in London, where he studied communications strategy and behaviour change further. He has an IPA Excellence Diploma and has received certification in behavioural science and behaviour change from Stanford University, University College London and Warwick Business School, among others.

Julia Terlet

Co-founder & Behavioural Sustainability Director

Julia has a PhD in behavioural science from Cardiff University. She began her career as a water consumption expert, working for Welsh Water and the Cardiff Water Research Institute. Her interest in sustainability led her to broaden her scope and apply her behavioural science knowledge to other issues, such as plastic usage and mobility. Julia is in charge of Behaven's scientific recommendations, methodology, and tools that all take into account the most recent advances in behavioural sustainability.

Mira Toumi

Mira Toumi

Behavioural Sustainability Scientist

Mira has a PhD in behavioural and experimental economics from the Université Côte d'Azur (UCA), where she won the best thesis prize. Mira's research focused on decision-making and incentive architecture to assist people in adopting sustainable behaviours in sectors such as energy and beyond. She is currently leading some of our priority projects, working directly with regional and local waste authorities. She is passionate about applying behavioural insights to the real world.

Ramya Rao

Ramya Rao

Behavioural Sustainability Scientist

Ramya received her MSc in behavioural and cognitive neurosciences from the University of Groningen, where she was also a sustainability ambassador. Ramya has conducted quantitative research in the fields of neuroscience, experimental psychology and environmental psychology. Passionate about bringing science closer to society, she has worked closely with our clients on projects involving sustainable diets and mobility behaviours.

Scientific committee

We are currently assembling a scientific committee that will serve as a sounding board for our client projects. Some of the best experts in the field of behavioural science applied to energy, food, mobility, waste, water or consumer goods will serve on the committee.
