Running a Wavemaker Session to help companies engage employees in sustainability

The Challenge

Companies across AKT CCI’s network want employees engaged in sustainability, but education and awareness rarely turn into everyday action. Behaviour is driven by habits, social norms and the work environment far more than by good intentions. AKT CCI wanted to give its member companies a practical, science-based way to move teams from awareness to action.

Our Approach

We designed and led a four-hour Wavemaker Session for AKT CCI’s business community. Using our dedicated framework of 12 employee-engagement factors, we gave participants a clear read on what really drives or blocks engagement. We grounded it with concrete examples from other organisations and proven behavioural techniques, then co-created solutions the companies could take straight back to their teams.

The Result

Companies left with three things they could act on: a behavioural lens to spot the real levers before acting, proven examples from peer organisations to learn from, and co-created solutions ready to transpose to their own teams. Rather than another awareness talk, the session turned employee engagement into something concrete and doable.
